CYCLONE PAM UPDATE

We have had many inquiries from past guests about the cyclone and we are very happy to say that we are all safe.  Thank you so much for your thoughts and concern.  Most of the damage on the island is from fallen trees and thankfully there is minimal damage to our accommodation and infrastructure.  The dock on the mainland needs to be rebuilt but we can board guests direct from the beach as we did for the majority of the years we’ve been operating.  We are all working hard on cleanup and expect to be operational in the next several days.  Thank you so much for your support!

Thanks for the update. Praise the Lord you guys are all well. We are booked to stay for a week in July, and were a bit worried about your exposed location there! But we are still looking forward to coming back to Vanuatu in July! pleased to read you are all getting things functioning again soon. See you then, meantime our thoughts and prayers are with you all in Vanuatu.

    Dear Hideaway Island

I worked for Qantas for many years and managed qantas’ relationship with Air Vanuatu for around 7 years. My husband and I also honeymooned on Hideaway in 2000. We have been thinking about you and send heartfelt greetings to you following cyclone Pam. Our thoughts are very much with you, and all the residents of Vanuatu, and we are so glad to read that you the resort is largely ok.

We look forward to visiting again one day.

    Best regards
    Kim Millar
